Screen enclosures are pretty handy when it comes to protecting your pool while still allowing you to enjoy the outdoors. They’re most often made of aluminum and this makes them both durable and lightweight.

These screened enclosures are definitely not for everyone though, but it’s definitely a big benefit for anyone who could use one around their pool space.

One of the biggest benefits of these enclosures that sells many homeowners immediately is: no more bugs. Insects and small creatures, like frogs, snakes, and rats, won’t be able to get into your pool or the area surrounding the pool with a screen enclosure. The local fauna is meant to be admired and appreciated, just preferably not in your outdoor living space. And speaking of unwanted items in your pool area, these enclosures also keep out falling leaves and any other debris that might get swept into your pool. This means less work when cleaning out the pool filter, and your pool will stay much cleaner overall.

The added shade is also another big reason why people choose these enclosures. Sunlight is filtered but in a way that provides ample lighting without being so aggressive on your skin. This keeps the area a bit cooler as well, so you don’t have to worry about burning your feet walking on hot concrete around the pool area.

Privacy and safety are important factors as well. While a screen enclosure won’t completely block the view of any prying eyes, it will provide more privacy than no enclosure. It also allows you to keep a close eye on your children or pets who might be enjoying the pool. They will stay in the enclosures area instead of wandering off to far sides of the yard where you might not be able to see them.

Like previously stated, though, these enclosures aren’t meant for everyone. When determining whether you might benefit from a swimming pool enclosure, you have to consider a handful of things.

The way your yard is landscaped and constructed plays a large factor. If the space is too big, it may not be feasible to enclose everything in a screen. Depending on if you have a deck out outdoor kitchen or any other large structures near your pool, it may also make placement and construction more difficult. The best thing to do is talk to your contractor!

Cost is also something to take note of, since depending on the size and placement, pricing will vary. Material itself can range from $5 to $15 depending on what you use as well. Again, this is something that should be discussed with your contractor during an estimate.

These enclosures are quite durable against regular wind and weather, but occasionally they could be damaged due to major storms like hurricanes or tornadoes just like everything else. We provide repairs for all of our construction projects as well if needed, so you can rest assured knowing that we will gladly take care of any damage or replacements necessary.
